Keeping Up the Weight Loss on Vacation

untitled

For many people, going on vacation is a time of reversing all of the progress they have made on their weight loss to date. Rather than continue to watch their diet, exercise, and watch that total weight continue to drop down, they abandon their calorie-counting, stop lacing up their walking shoes, and feel increasingly sluggish and remorseful over their gluttonous and lazy vacation. But when you go on a vacation to a land htat is known for its beaches and sunny weather, there are plenty of reasons to get outside and keep losing weight.

First off, you can head to the Santa Monica Pier and beach area and enjoy some fresh air, some great sun, and go for a long walk. Whether you prefer to walk along the clifftops in Palisades Park, down on the sand with the waves crashing about your feet, out on the famous wooden pier, or along the concrete footpath between the waves and the cliffs, you have plenty of opportunity to get your 10,000 steps in here.

If you preferred to spend your time at the beach laying out on a towel instead, and are looking for a little night-time exercise, how about picking up an 8 pound bowling ball for a couple of hours? Check out some of the many fantastic bowling alleys in and around Hollywood and you will be breaking a sweet in no time. Our favorite? Lucky Strikes.

Maybe you are not a beach go-er, but still want to explore one of the many things to do in Los Angeles. Schedule a famous Hollywood walking tour to get a sight not only of some of the famous museums, theaters, and sights like the stars on the Walk of Fame, but also a chance to see real-life stars in their neighborhoods in the hills up above town.

No matter what you want to do, Los Angeles offers plenty of options to continue your weight loss while on vacation. There is no need to come back from your once in a lifetime vacation feeling as if it was not a healthy undertaking – you can certainly keep losing weight while having a great time.
